BIM = Building Information Model.
This is the data and pieces that create the digital 3D model.
VDC = Virtual Design & Construction
VDC is the process that uses BIM.
VDC goes beyond the model. It’s managing coordination, constructability, issue resolution, communication, and project workflows using BIM tools and technology.
-
Our main software is Revit, Navisworks, and Forma Design Collaboration (formerly known as Autodesk Construction Cloud). We use the latest versions of all software. Additionally, we use AutoCad and Bluebeam Revu.
-
These are coordinated installation drawings generated from the federated BIM. They provide dimensions, elevations, and annotations to help trades install work accurately and efficiently in the field.
-
Absolutely. The word “virtual” is in our title. Since the nature of our work is remote, we can support projects in any location.
-
Notorious VDC combines technical BIM expertise with real-world construction coordination experience. We’re not simply running clash reports, or modeling drawings; we’re providing expert input to solve problems, improve constructability, and keep projects moving forward efficiently.
